比翼藝術(shù)中心是一個(gè)自主經(jīng)營(yíng)的非營(yíng)利性藝術(shù)中心，包含著藝術(shù)和商業(yè)兩個(gè)方面在內(nèi)。中心的宗旨旨在促進(jìn)上海以及其他地區(qū)當(dāng)代藝術(shù)的發(fā)展。就如比翼的英文名字“bizart”一樣，比翼的結(jié)構(gòu)包含了商業(yè)和藝術(shù)兩個(gè)方面，同時(shí)這個(gè)名字也真實(shí)地體現(xiàn)了我們的生存狀態(tài)。由于我們所有的藝術(shù)活動(dòng)都是非營(yíng)利的，同時(shí)也受到中國(guó)國(guó)內(nèi)有關(guān)藝術(shù)基金的特殊環(huán)境的影響，致使比翼必須有自己活躍的商業(yè)部分的運(yùn)作。由于在中國(guó)沒有一個(gè)公共的基金會(huì)給像我們這樣的獨(dú)立藝術(shù)組織一些支持，所以我們?cè)谏虡I(yè)方面的利潤(rùn)都支持我們?nèi)プ龈鞣N藝術(shù)活動(dòng)，并且保證了我們?cè)诒就烈约皣?guó)際藝術(shù)世界中的方向。

比翼的藝術(shù)家居留項(xiàng)目：在過去的幾年里，比翼接待了許多來自亞洲，歐洲和美洲（北美和南美）的藝術(shù)家。過去的三年里比翼也和世界試驗(yàn)性的藝術(shù)家鏈接項(xiàng)目合作，這個(gè)項(xiàng)目由英國(guó)藝術(shù)理事會(huì)（ArtCouncilEngland）和英國(guó)領(lǐng)事館支持。

在將當(dāng)代藝術(shù)作品帶給觀眾的同時(shí)，居留項(xiàng)目也在生產(chǎn)作品的前提下給上海這個(gè)創(chuàng)意的城市提供了藝術(shù)性的想法和貢獻(xiàn)。國(guó)際藝術(shù)家在和比翼的合作過程中也增進(jìn)了自己的專業(yè)性和藝術(shù)發(fā)展，并對(duì)這里新的文化，社會(huì)和藝術(shù)環(huán)境做出了反應(yīng)。

比翼將計(jì)劃繼續(xù)這個(gè)藝術(shù)家居留項(xiàng)目并為國(guó)際藝術(shù)家提供2個(gè)月的居留期限，這個(gè)項(xiàng)目主要將焦點(diǎn)放在中國(guó)之間以及其他東方國(guó)家的交流。這個(gè)交流項(xiàng)目是比翼指南針項(xiàng)目的其中一部分，其目的在于創(chuàng)造一個(gè)亞洲藝術(shù)機(jī)構(gòu)，藝術(shù)家和策展人之間的網(wǎng)絡(luò)，我們將必然的選擇并邀請(qǐng)這些來自亞洲國(guó)家和中國(guó)各個(gè)省的人士。目前，這個(gè)項(xiàng)目擁有的是有限的基金由此所能夠提供的服務(wù)也是最基礎(chǔ)的。比翼現(xiàn)在正尋找核心的基金為項(xiàng)目將來的正式化和發(fā)展做好準(zhǔn)備。

指南針項(xiàng)目提供的住宿將用來接待藝術(shù)家和文化工作者，并僅僅主要提供給受邀請(qǐng)的中國(guó)和亞洲藝術(shù)家/策展人。

ArtHub的介紹：關(guān)于:ArtHub—支持中國(guó)及亞洲其他地區(qū)現(xiàn)代藝術(shù)創(chuàng)作的非營(yíng)利機(jī)構(gòu)非常高興在此向您介紹不久前新成立的香港非營(yíng)利機(jī)構(gòu)ArtHub。成立ArtHub，是為了支持同為非營(yíng)利藝術(shù)機(jī)構(gòu)的比翼藝術(shù)中心舉辦各類藝術(shù)活動(dòng)，以此進(jìn)一步發(fā)展中國(guó)及亞洲其他地區(qū)的當(dāng)代藝術(shù)。

ArtHub于2007年1月在香港地區(qū)成立，旨在為支持及亞洲地區(qū)的當(dāng)代藝術(shù)創(chuàng)作提供一個(gè)實(shí)際有效的營(yíng)運(yùn)機(jī)制。ArtHub背后是一個(gè)陣容強(qiáng)大的顧問團(tuán)，包括40多位著名的藝術(shù)專業(yè)人士和藝術(shù)家。

BizArtisaself-supportedandnot-for-profitartcenterthatcombinesartisticandcommercialpursuitswiththeultimategoalofadvancingcontemporaryartinShanghaiandbeyond.Thename“BizArt”referstoourstraddlingtheduelrolesofbusinessandart,andthe“bizarre”natureofourexistence.

Sinceallofourartisticundertakingsarenot-for-profit,andbecauseofthepeculiarenvironmentinChinaconcerningfundingforthearts,itisessentialthatBizArtisseenasabusinessentityandmaintainsanactivebusinessside.

BecausethereisnopublicfundinginChinaforanindependentorganizationslikeus,allofourbusinessdrivenprofitssupportsourvariousartisticendeavorsandensuresourfutureinthelocalandinternationalartworld.

BizArtArtistinresidencyprogram:Inthepastyears,BizArthostedmanyinternationalartistscomingfromAsia,EuropeandAmerica(bothNorthandSouth).BizArtalsohostedtheworld-widepilotprogramArtistLinks,supportedbyArtCouncilEnglandandBritishCouncilforthelastthreeyears.

Whileexhibitionspresentcontemporaryworktotheaudience,residenciesbringartisticideasoverandcontributetothecreativelifeofShanghaiatthelevelofproduction.InternationalvisitingartistsgainprofessionalandartisticdevelopmentthroughworkingwithBizArtandrespondingtothenewcultural,socialandartisticcontext.

BizArtintendstocarryonthisartist-in-residenceprogramandhostinternationalartistsforuptotwomonths,mainlyfocusingonexchangesbetweenChinaandotherregionoftheFarEast.Thisexchangeproject,partofBizArt’sCompassProject,aimstocreateanetworkthroughoutAsiabetweenartisticorganizations,artistsandcurators.ThosewillbeconsequentiallychosenandinvitedamongAsiancountriesandChineseprovinces.

Atpresent,residencieshavelimitedfundsandservicesareprovidedonanadhocbasis.BizArtcurrentlyseekscorefundsinordertoformalizeandfullyexploitthepossibilitiesforthisprogram.
